Dr Bhat’s reputation precedes him. Throughout my extensive research I came across Dr Bhat’s name over and over again. All from patients who had received his treatment, all with absolutely glowing recommendations.
Doc uses both Ayurvedic and Western medicine to heal a person. He understands that we are human beings – complicated, complex creatures, and that to heal it’s not one way or no way – it can be many ways!
I have never known such an excellent physician – in every aspect.
I chose doc based on his credentials and experience and firsthand testimonials (below), but the fact that his skills came paired with a truly special, caring personality was a win that’s for sure. It’s stressful enough going to another country for medical treatment – having a humble, caring soul take care of you is a gift. He kind of leaves you in awe and his lack of awareness for his effect on people just adds to his awesomeness.
Whilst doc is a complete medical physician, he specialises in the treatment of fistula, hemorrhoids, fissure and pilonidal sinus. Doc has trained more than 20 people in the field who are successfully practising now, and taught hundreds of students during his years as a professor:

Just in the time I was in Bangalore I would say I saw around 70 foreigners come and go, healed by the legend himself. A calm, humble human with exceptional skill and genuine care for human life. All the while he jokes with his patients and chants his mantra ‘be happy’

The clinic
Before I decided to go to Bangalore, I researched so much that when I arrived, it was almost like nothing was a surprise. When I walked into the clinic, I knew exactly what it looked like that it did not feel strange.
As of February 2025, Doc has opened a new clinic very near the old one. It’s a beautiful facility, designed by Dr Bhat to accommodate all patients’ needs in one place.
In addition to his rooms, there is also accommodation for patients, a restaurant to accommodate patient’s dietary requirements throughout treatment, and a pharmacy to obtain not only allopathic and Ayurvedic medications, but also sitz baths and donuts for patients.
